URN: Brandon Boan and Abby Donovan



PaperWorkers Local is pleased to exhibit URN, a folio of lithograph and linotype works by Brandon Boan and Abby Donovan. URN is what happens when you combine Thomas Browne, Genius Scan, Tip Type Press in Pittsburgh, and an old graveyard in Downeast Maine.

Brandon Boan is an artist and linotype operator in Pittsburgh, PA, where he runs Tip Type Press.

Abby Donovan is an artist and faculty in the Art Department at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE.

Opening Reception: Friday, Sept 18 from 5:30-8:30PM

PaperWorkers Local always has an exhibition opening to coincide with every Third Friday in Forest Park. In addition to our event restaurants will have specials, wine tastings etc...
Shops and galleries will be open late, catch the shows you may miss during the day, shop for gifts while enjoying a refreshment. Enjoy the social scene of Forest Park after hours.

Can't Get There From Here - New Images by Philip E Griffith



In this latest exhibit of photographic images, I am continuing to capture the unique landscapes that exist along the back roads of both Mississippi and Alabama. My subject matter covers both remnants of our (rapidly) disappearing southern landscape and found scenes and compositions. This particular set of images were taken during a series of photo runs between March 2012 and August of 2014.

How Do I DIY? Zine Workshop



How Do I DIY? is a workshop led by G.h. Burgin, Talia and Andy where you'll learn about the history and culture of zines, some basic binding and folding techniques, and walk away with a zine or two of your own! This will take place on August 22nd at Paperworkers Local from 1-3pm.
